Oh my gosh!! This was the highlight of our trip in Italy. Alice and Alessandro are both adorable, creative, fun and amazing instructors. We started with picking fresh tomatoes and herbs from the garden. Alice took us through the steps of making homemade tagliatelle and gnocchi with skill, patience and humor as well as sharing in the making of a divine bruschetta. We were a very small group which added to the entire experience. Alessandro worked his magic in the kitchen preparing butter and sage sauce for the gnocchi and tomato sauce using both yellow and red tomatoes for the pasta. I learned quite a bit of information while he cooked and explained various steps and emphasized how flavors can be enhanced by various techniques. The pasta and gnocchi, perfectly cooked, were paired with white and red wine. The red wine was produced by Alessandro and is such a lovely wine. I could go on and on but all I can say, we both felt very fortunate to have signed up for this class that proved above and beyond our expectations. They both provided warm loving Italian hospitality. We ate in the courtyard surrounded by the beautiful landscape. What more can one ask for: Conversation, laughter, delicious food and memories that will continue. Thank you so much, Alice and Alessandro!!

We really enjoyed learning to make pasta and gnocchi with helpful tips in a beautiful setting! The garden tour was interesting and fresh produce and herbs from their gardens were used to complete the sauces for the dishes and bruschetta! The food was very tasty, everyone was kind and helpful and they created a fun learning experience for us! Highly recommend!!

Alessandro is full of passion for Toscana food. He was very patient when teaching us the basics of hand made pasta and gnocchi. Copious amounts of wine and a jovial friendly atmosphere made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Alessandro turned out raw pasta and Gnocchi into gourmet meals. We got to eat what we made and it really was delicious. The complete recipes were sent by email to us since, so we can make from home.

Thank you Alessandro and Alice for a fantastic day of cooking and eating at Saint Ulivieri- the day starts with a tour of the vegetable fields picking fresh tomatoes and herbs then Alice leads a lesson on tagliatelle and gnocchi making , pausing to make bruschetta and taste local wine. Alessandro shows how to make the most beautiful sage and butter gnocchi, lemon tagliatelle and zucchini bruschetta. Sat outside in the Tuscan sun chatting about his passion for food with us we had the most amazing day with laughter and the best italien food with the freshest simplest ingredients. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This pasta making class on a real working farm with Alice and Alessandro was truly a highlight of our visit to San Gimignano. We were made to feel so welcome, and we were guided expertly through this experience. We made tagliatelle, gnocchi and the most incredibly delicious zucchini bruschetta. My husband and I felt so lucky to be the only 2 people in the class this day, so that Alice and Alessandro were able to join us for the lunch we had all prepared. It was accompanied by a delicious bottle of wine (also produced on the farm) and after our visit was over, Alessandro treated us by playing some wonderful tunes on his piano accordion. Truly a wonderful wonderful experience all around.
